Do you feel like sometimes you carry something deep inside of you that you just can’t shake?

You may have an uneasy feeling of fear or anxiety that seems to cling to you like a tick on a dog’s back. It may even be a small thing you are not even aware of. It may be a sense like “I must hurry to get this thing done, or else I will be in trouble.” For no reason you may feel all jittery inside to get this thing done. Or you may be anxious about the barking dog next door as you get all worked up over it on the inside. Sometimes it seems like the least little thing sets you off and your rest has flown out the door–never to return.

Many people develop physical issues as a result of underlying worries and anxiety they have learned to live with. Many of us developed fear, shame and anxiety during our childhood years. Perhaps it was in a home where the father never took time to be with us and the mother was too busy making ends meet. As a result, we became like a restless river with troubled waters that could not be bridged. These patterns often go on for years, and many people die not knowing, much less living in, the deep rest and peace of the Lord.

There is a God Who actually knew you in your mother’s womb and stood beside you as you were birthed and brought into this world. It says in Psalm 139 that we are fearfully and wonderfully made. If that is the case,-and it is- we have no right to doubt His words over us.

As you ask the Lord to show you His deep love for you, He in His gentleness will begin to shine the Light into your heart as He surfaces any and all darkness that does not belong there. He will show you that you can trust Him.  The Father laid on Jesus all your fears, lack of love and anxiety as He carried your sins to the cruel cross. Can you imagine what love the Father had for us to lay on His son all the sicknesses and the sins of the world without even giving Him any support–watching Him suffer and drink that bitter cup all by Himself?

And we cannot trust Father God to sustain us in difficult times, after all that His Son did for us? What is wrong with us?

His desire is to make us clean as freshly fallen snow and give us His peace.  It is up to us to trust Him with our stuff, and that may mean dying to our dark mindsets and strongholds.

art 175 (3)If you find yourself in a time when God is pointing His finger at some of your hang-ups of anxiety and fears, let Him remove these stumbling blocks in your life. He sometimes cuts deep as He prunes your vine, but you can be sure your fruit will become sweet, tender and abundant.

I hear Jesus say: “I have come to you to be your bodyguard and Prince of Peace. Let go of your former thinking patterns that have made many wrong inroads into your life. Believe and trust Me and I will calm the storm in your heart. All the blessings that I have are yours for the taking, but you must trust Me.”

Brushed by God .

This book gives a refreshing look at inspirational art ( prophetic art) exposed in church, to  individuals,  on the streets and in parks. The book shares many experiences on how almost any body can do prophetic art for people you love or want to reach for Christ. This book is for every one and a delight to read. See side panel for details. If you live outside the USA you need to add $5.00 extra for shipping by air.

Drawn by God

This devotional book has 52 short chapters and 176 pages. Each chapter starts with a question, has a biblical background scripture that is appropriate for the title of the chapter and then discusses the answer to that query through the eyes of the author’s vision of God. The chapter ends with a prophetic word from Jesus’ heart saying “I hear Jesus say…” Every chapter ends with a drawing by the author or an inspired artist who knows Jesus intimately.

The book will make you hungry to know more of  Who God is and answers questions like, “Does He really care about the small stuff in my life? How can I give Him first place when I feel like I am losing it and I feel He does not love me anymore? Do we need conflict in our life? What about generational blessings?  How far will He go with me? What about impossible situations? How do I ever attain to living a life that is bathed in God’s rest?”

The book also shares personal examples of how the author faced tremendous difficulties in her own life. How in her youth during the war in Holland they were hiding Jews right under the nose of the Nazis who occupied a castle next door. The pain she experienced in her broken youth when she felt like no-one even realized she was around. How God became her Father and her Mother when she herself was just a young mother, longing to be free from much bondage.

The book is based on spontaneous prophetic art and how God wants to speak to each one of us not only through His precious word, but through anything that comes our way

Spontaneous Prophetic art is practiced in some churches where the artist steps forward as the worship starts and asks God for a spontaneous picture for the congregation. After the worship, the artist explains the meaning of the picture and shares what she or he senses God wants to say to the people at that point in time.

Most of us have heard the maxim, “A picture is worth a thousand words.” We may try a hundred word-related ways to comprehend a truth, but somehow, pictures engrave the heart. When the picture matches the words well, the reader is more deeply impacted.

Each devotional highlights an aspect of life – a challenge, a question, an irritation, a potential decision – and offers biblical truths in a practical, encouraging voice. See sight panel how to obtain this reviving book. Orders outside the USA pleas pay an extra $5 for shipping by air.
