Did you know that the Lord can lead you to prophesy to your sick body? He even wants you to prophesy to the most impossible situations in your life. Prophesying can bring life into situations where death once ruled with a fierce rod.
The word “prophesy” in Dictionary.com says:
to foretell or predict, to indicate beforehand, to declare or foretell by or as if by divine inspiration, to make inspired declarations of what is to come, to speak as a mediator between God and humankind or in God’s stead.
God told Ezekiel to prophesy life to a host of dead bones. When he did, the bones rattled together, sinews formed, meat came on the bones and voila… moving bones popped up and shook the ground. What a sight that must have been! Imagine, those skulls going “snap, crackle and pop.” It must have looked like some horror movie that kids watch these days. However, there was a problem…no breath in the bones–a heap of lifeless carcasses.
Ezekiel prophesied again to the bones to receive living breath and “there you go”—a host of soldiers stood on their feet and became an exceedingly great army.
You may be totally without energy, fighting a horrible disease, or you may have children and grandchildren living in desperate situations. Prophesy new life, energy, healing and transformation, and “those dead bones” will live because it is God’s command through you. The power of the mouth indeed is life or death. (Proverbs 18:21)
So, take advantage of God’s power in you and transform your deadness and difficult situations into new life. It makes no difference how long you have to wait for the prophecy to come to pass. Notice that Ezekiel had to prophesy several times in order for those bones to become an army of living people. Don’t give up! Don’t ever give up!
I hear the Lord say: “I have created you to have authority over everything that is not of Me. You can be the life-giver in your family and in each trial you go through. Speak My life to your loved ones and watch life come to the deadness in them.”
